Commemorative Stamp cancellation is available all week at the Post Office

10:30 a.m. Library Park - Morning Ecumenical Worship Service (bring your lawn chairs)

Lunch following service at Christian Church Family Life Center Carry-in Basket Dinner (table service & drinks only provided).

1:30 p.m. - Christian Church Family Life Center - Sesquicentennial Queen Contest - also recognizing 1957 Centennial Queen Contestants


Monday - August 6, 2007

5:30 p.m. - Shelbina Fire Station - Shelbina Fire Protection District Open House with meal / Donation

6:15 p.m. - Fire Station - Dedication of new Fire Equipment

7:00 p.m. Library Park - Live Entertainment

8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery Theater / $5.00 Catch shuttle at Shelbina Villa (If raining, performance will be at Hawkins Theater.)

5:00 p.m. Shelby County Fairgrounds - NE Missouri Old Threshers Food Stand opens.

7:00 p.m. Library Park - Brothers of the Brush Contest followed by Live Entertainment

7:00 p.m. & 8:15 p.m. Hawkins Theater - Live Entertainment - William & Clark Bluegrass Band, PLUS Shelbina Native, Mike Hartgrove / $7.00 Box office opens at 6:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. Benjamin House - Belles of the Bonnet Tea and reenactor's Tea & Period Costume Contest, grounds of the Benjamin House. Open to anyone wishing to participate or watch.

10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Library Park - Kid's Carnival Games (proceeds to Relay for Life).

10:00 a.m. - Library Park - "Battle of Shelbina" Monument Dedication

12 noon Downtown - "Piecing Together Our Past" Sesquicentennial Parade, Northbound parade route along Highway 15 / Center St. (from Shelby Co Implement)

2:00 p.m. Library Park - Kangaroo Court

Shelbina Lake Activities:

3:00 p.m. Shelbina Lake - Civil War Reenactment - East side of Shelbina Lake continues thru Sunday 12th at 2:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. Shelbina Lake - Period Wedding - Shelter # 3

8:00 p.m. - Shelbina Lake - Sesquicentennial Ball - Shelter #3

9:00 p.m. Firing of the Reenactment Cannons followed by fireworks

All School Class Reunion for all who attended Shelbina Schools, Alumni Golf Tournament, pitch Tournament and Quilt Show at the Shelbina Senior Citizens Center

FIRST AID AVAILABLE DURING THE SESQUICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION AT SHELBY COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER (LOCATED ON E. CHESTNUT STREET) Staffed by First Responders and or Ambulance Personnel.

Live Entertainment Nightly 7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday - Library Park.

All events are FREE unless otherwise indicated. Schedule subject to change. Camping is available (first come first served) on the west side of Shelbina Lake only, and at the Fairgrounds
